Katrina Kaif

One of eight siblings, Katrina was born on July 16, 1984, in Hong Kong, grew up in Hawaii and then moved to London.

She is born to a Kashmiri Muslim father and an English Anglican Christian mother.

At the young age of 14, she got modeling offers and started out by modeling for a jewelry campaign.

Filmmaker Kaizad Gustad discovered Katrina in London and gave her a part in his film Boom. Kaif soon moved permanently to Mumbai and was offered a number of modeling assignments.

She is learning Hindi and has also taken dance classes, to survive in Bollywood.

She was chosen as the face of the year for the Lakme India Fashion Week (2005) which made her very popular.

Films that did feature her usually had her voice dubbed over but this changed with ‘Namastey London’ in which she dubbed in her own voice.

Although she has been seeing Salman Khan for sometime now, she still refuses to talk about him in the media.
